Joseph Hamilton U.S. Army (Ret.) is a Department of Justice & Department of Defense certified firearms instructor and “master” level competitive shooter with over twelve years of proven leadership ability and in-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of the tactical application of small arms.  He served in the United States Army during Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) 7,8,9,10,11 and 12 with more than 40 months of strategic combat experience. During his service he earned several distinguished awards and ratings including the Bronze Star with Valor (for battlefield heroism), three Purple Hearts, and the Meritorious Service Medal. Following his military service, he taught in the Firearms and Tactical Units of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Academy in Quantico, VA where he trained Federal Special Agents in firearms, defensive tactics, active shooter and tactical operations training. He went on to found Hamilton Strategic Solutions to address the critical need for flexible training solutions within federal law enforcement.
